ChloroStay 7-Day Mouthwash is a weekly mouthwash which helps prevent plaque build-up, keep breath fresh and promotes and maintains oral hygiene for up to a week after use – especially in difficult to clean areas, such as between teeth and around orthodontic appliances.
ChloroStay 7-Day Mouthwash consists of two solutions. When combined, tiny crystals of encapsulated calcium chloride chlorhexidine spheres are formed. These crystals adhere to the surfaces of the teeth and slowly release the chlorhexidine in a low but clinically effective dose over a period of up to 7 days.
ChloroStay 7-Day Mouthwash is a unique mouthwash, developed by a multi-disciplinary team at Queen Mary University of London. Unlike traditional mouthwashes that have a high initial chlorhexidine concentration but are quickly washed away in the mouth, ChloroStay 7-Day Mouthwash provides low and sustained chlorhexidine release for up to a week.
To provide added protection in difficult to clean areas such as between teeth and around orthodontic appliances. Whenever compliance with a once-a-week regime is easier to achieve or supervise than a regime carried out daily, and for patients who have difficulty in effectively brushing their teeth.
